Data Privacy and Security Counseling and Management for Major Auto Manufacturer

We oversee a major auto manufacturer’s privacy and related data management practices, including: data mapping; advising regarding new and changing laws; drafting and developing additional agreements and documents, including policies and procedures to ensure compliance with emerging state privacy laws; and advising on novel data privacy and security issues related to connected and autonomous vehicles.

Additionally, our team members designed and implemented a complete data privacy compliance program for this major auto manufacturer to ensure compliance with CCPA as well as federal laws such as HIPAA and the FTC Act. We are currently assisting efforts to comply with new state privacy and security laws such as those in California, Virginia, Colorado, Utah and Connecticut. Members of our team assisted the client with the selection and implementation of OneTrust in 2019 as part of its CCPA compliance initiative. Their work included the development of privacy questionnaires which are used for the client’s data inventory of various business processes and data assets within the organization.
