Bass, Berry & Sims advised Kanders & Company, Inc., a U.S.-based single-family office owned and controlled by Warren B. Kanders, on the government contracts and international trade portions of its acquisition of multiple antenna and test equipment businesses from L3Harris Technologies, Inc. for $200 million.

The transaction resulted in the formation of Fisica, Inc., Kanders’ defense technology platform, under which the acquired ATI, Datron and Randtron businesses will operate. The deal positions Fisica Applied Technologies, Inc., which is based in San Leandro, California, with additional operations in Menlo Park and Simi Valley, for continued growth as a critical partner for flagship defense primes and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Bass, Berry & Sims’ Government Contracts and International Trade teams were led by practice chairs Todd Overman and Thad McBride, together with counsel Sylvia Yi, and associates Faith Dibble and Adam Briscoe.
