We represented the developer of Burlington Commons, an affordable housing complex in East Knoxville, in all aspects of the transaction. This included serving as bond counsel for the issuance of tax exempt bonds, serving as developer’s counsel in connection with the admission of the tax credit investor, and serving as borrower’s counsel in connection with construction and permanent financing. Our representation also involved counseling on a payment in lieu of tax incentive (PILOT), construction matters and financing through the City of Knoxville Affordable Rental Development Fund.
