Bass Berry & Sims served as lead counsel to a Memphis-based children’s research hospital in obtaining a Certificate of Need (CON) to initiate home health services to St. Jude patients who live either permanently or on temporary basis in Fayette, Shelby and Tipton counties. The CON application was unanimously approved by state regulators. The new home health agency makes it possible for the hospital to deliver its unique continuum of specialized medical care and testing in a patient’s residence and will enhance the hospital’s robust infection control procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
