We represented Genesco, Inc. (NYSE: GCO) in its sale of Lids Sports Group to FanzzLids Holdings in an all-cash transaction for $100 million. As part of the deal with Genesco, sports licensing giant Fanatics Inc. is taking a minority stake in FanzzLids.
FanzzLids Holdings is a holding company controlled and operated by affiliates of investment firm Ames Watson Capital, that operates Fanzz, a specialty retailer of licensed sports apparel.
Genesco Inc. is a publicly owned specialty retailer of branded footwear, licensed branded headwear and licensed sports apparel and accessories and is a wholesaler of branded and licensed footwear.
