Nashville, Tenn., (June 27, 2023) – Bass, Berry & Sims is pleased to announce the addition of five new attorneys across the firm’s Nashville (Tennessee), and Washington, D.C. offices: Adam Briscoe, Faith Dibble and Emily Farmer join the firm’s Washington, D.C. office; Remy Servis and Megan E. Smit join the firm’s Nashville office.

Adam Briscoe (Associate, Washington, D.C.) advises companies as they navigate the contracting process with federal, state, and local governments. He counsels and represents clients on bid protests, contract claims, teaming and subcontracting agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance with a range of regulations relating to public contracting. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Briscoe was an associate at Wiley Rein LLP. He earned a law degree (2019) and M.B.A. (2019) from American University and an undergraduate degree from Reichman University (2014).
Faith Dibble (International Trade Attorney, Washington, D.C.) counsels clients as they navigate the complex regulations associated with a global marketplace. She advises clients on international trade and complex cross-border transactions, investigations, and regulatory and compliance matters relating to U.S. national security. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Dibble was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She earned a law degree (2019) and M.B.A. (2019) from New York University and undergraduate degrees from Georgetown University (2013).
Emily Farmer (Associate, Washington, D.C.) represents companies and individuals with government-facing civil investigations, independent investigations, and civil litigation brought under various federal and state regulations. She has a particular focus on counseling healthcare companies on healthcare fraud and abuse matters related to alleged violations under the False Claims Act (FCA), Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), Stark Law, and other state and federal laws. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Farmer was a senior associate at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul W. Grimm and the Honorable Roger W. Titus of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Farmer earned a law degree from The George Washington University Law School (2017) and an undergraduate degree from Barnard College (2012).
Remy Servis (Associate, Nashville) advises clients on debt finance and real estate transactions across a variety of industries. Her practice includes the representation of borrowers and lenders in financing transactions and advising developers, investors and owners in the acquisition, financing, disposition, and leasing of real property. Servis earned a law degree (2022) and master’s degree (2022) from Wake Forest University and an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis (2016).
Megan E. Smit (Associate, Nashville) counsels clients on corporate and securities issues with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. In addition, she represents private equity firms and portfolio companies in various transactions. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Smit was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Los Angeles. Smit earned a law degree from Washington University School of Law (St. Louis) (2021) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester (2017).
