Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Mark Mamantov was interviewed on Knoxville’s 10 News Today television program about the bonds that will be used for the new downtown mixed-use stadium. The new stadium will be built with a public-private partnership, with $65 million issued in bonds, $13.5 million in a state grant, and the remaining funding from the team owner.
On May 9, the Knoxville-Knox County Sports Authority approved the bond financing. “That means that we can proceed to finance the issue up to $65 million of bonds to finance the stadium,” explained Mark.
The segment, “Knoxville-Knox County Sports Authority Blesses $65 Million in Debt to Pay for the Stadium,” was broadcast on May 9 and is available online.
