Bass, Berry & Sims attorneys Jeremy Gunn and Abby Yi were recognized in the Lawyers of Color Annual Hot List, which recognizes junior- and mid-level attorneys working in law firms, companies, and government agencies across the U.S. who show promise in their careers and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession. The full list of honorees for the 2023 Hot List is available here.
The honorees were chosen through a two-pronged process. The selection committee – composed of the editorial staff, fellows and advisers at Lawyers of Color – spent months reviewing nominations and researching legal publications in order to identify promising candidates. Nominations were accepted from mentors, peers, and colleagues; Lawyers of Color also made editorial picks based on its research of attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments, giving special attention to candidates who were active in diversity pipeline initiatives.
