Coalition of Legal Professionals from AutoZone, Bass, Berry & Sims, and Memphis Area Legal Services Band Together to Provide Free Legal Services to Memphis-Area Seniors
Memphis, Tenn., July 16, 2026 – AutoZone and Bass, Berry & Sims, in conjunction with Memphis Area Legal Services, Inc. (MALS), hosted the “Give a Little, Help a Lot” pro bono clinic at Orange Mound Community & Senior Center on Wednesday, July 15, marking the 16th iteration of the annual event. The legal aid clinic included around 25 attorneys, paralegals and law students providing more than 50 low-income, Memphis-area senior citizens with free legal services.
“We are incredibly honored to continue our history of supporting this event since its inception in 2009, and for the opportunity to help local seniors by easing the financial burden of securing high quality legal counsel,” said Sehrish Siddiqui, Member at Bass, Berry & Sims who attended this year’s clinic. “We are grateful to continue working with AutoZone and MALS who share our emphasis on giving back to the community. This incredible team of legal professionals are a pleasure to collaborate with every year to provide crucial legal services to those in need.”
Since it was first hosted in 2009, the legal clinic has combined legal professionals from MALS, AutoZone and Bass, Berry & Sims to provide seniors with imperative legal services, including assisting with the preparation of healthcare directives, durable power of attorney forms, advance care plans, and last wills and testaments.
“The shared passion and commitment of all of the partners involved in this legal clinic is crucial to its success year after year,” said Nicole M. Grida, Chief Executive Officer at MALS. “Bass, Berry & Sims and AutoZone have been essential to supporting our mission to provide excellence in legal advocacy for those in need, and the work we do each year at the Orange Mound Community & Senior Center has a substantial impact for every senior that comes through those doors.”
