Helpful Privacy Tips When Working from Home
Whether we are Zooming, Skyping, What’s Apping or otherwise communicating with the video camera icon active, be aware of what you are transmitting. The formality of your attire is between you and your Zoomates (which may include a member of the judiciary). From a privacy and security perspective, what is important but often overlooked is your background. A simple widening of the fingers can Zoom in on a digital image. Do not leave personally identifiable information where it can be seen and recorded. Do not leave confidential company documents visible. And most definitely do not broadcast from in front of your computer monitor.
