Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Richard Arnholt authored content for Bloomberg BNA Federal Contracting News outlining the new bid protest procedures issued by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) that went into effect May 1, 2018. The article expanded on content first published on the firm’s Government Contracts and International Trade blog dated April 30, 2018.
The first major revision introduces the Electronic Protest Docketing System as the exclusive way to file a protest and protest-related documents in most cases. The second major revision implements a $350 filing fee for all new protests. In addition to these two major changes, Richard detailed several other items that were clarified by the new GAO rule.
