Jeremy Gunn is an associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group and focuses his practice on complex commercial disputes involving consumer and antitrust class actions, contracts, product liability, and unfair competition.
Jeremy also provides antitrust counseling and represents clients in a variety of merger, pre‑merger notification, and compliance issues, and investigations brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, including experience in handling Second Requests.
Before joining the firm, Jeremy was an associate at a national law firm in Philadelphia. Notable experience prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims includes:
- Served as first-chair trial counsel for technology company in bench trial involving the enforcement of a disclaimer of warranties in a click-wrap EULA, which resulted in complete defense judgment.
- Successfully represented automobile manufacturer in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in a matter alleging that an electrical short behind the dashboard of a vehicle caused a commercial building fire.
- Secured motion to dismiss for tobacco company against pro se plaintiff in federal court.
- Played significant role as member of team representing a pharmaceutical company in mass tort litigation that secured summary judgment and dismissal of pending claims alleging a prescription drug caused birth defects.
After law school, Jeremy served as a law clerk to the Honorable John Preston Bailey of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. Jeremy earned his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law where he was a W.E.B. DuBois Fellow. He received his B.A. in political science from Vanderbilt University.
