Steven Steenson counsels clients on real estate and debt finance transactions including:
- Representing developers, investors and owners in the acquisition, financing, disposition, and leasing of real property.
- Negotiating and drafting office leases, retail leases, subleases and amendments for landlords and tenants.
- Representing borrowers and lenders in financing transactions, including acquisition and construction loans, term loan facilities, asset-based secured financings and revolving credit facilities.
Steven also collaborates with the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group on corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, for public and private companies, which involve financing and real estate issues.
Steven earned a law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law and an undergraduate degree in public policy and history from the College of William and Mary. During law school, Steven served as a legal extern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oxford, Mississippi where he drafted briefs to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and he also volunteered with the Mississippi Innocence Project, working on matters of wrongful conviction and post-conviction relief applications.
